When I was seriously into sprinting with my escort in the 80,s 90,s Ian used to run the BARC sprint championship.When he wasn,t busy sorting us lot out he would recall how he spent a whole summer racing around europe towing his mini from one event to the next living off start money and in a tent!
Only came back once to rebuild the engine.Sadly died a few years ago if my memory is correct.
