Over the weekend there will be a number of courses running which are suitable for those with an interest in motorsport marshalling through to existing experienced marshals/officials and rescue crews

Organised by Whickham & District Motor Club and British Red Cross in association with ANECCC
Supported by Fordparts.

Why should you attend…
Are you new to motorsport or wish to become involved in motorsport marshalling?
Have you been marshalling for years but would like additional formal training?
Do you want to obtain recognised qualifications relevant to motorsport?
Have you ever thought “I could do that” when watching motorsport on TV?
Would you know what to do if an incident occurred in front of you?
Do you want to meet like-minded people and join in with motor sport?
Then there is something for you this weekend!

MSA Introduction to Motorsport Marshalling course

This one day course which will be run on both days (you only need to attend one day) provides an introduction to motorsport for those who are interested in becoming involved for the first time or for those who wish to formalise their existing knowledge. The course covers everything from preparing to marshal, to incident handling, with practical demos from motorsport rescue crews. This is a full day course, with the option on completion, to sign up for a MSA Marshal’s licence. Club members will also be on hand to explain how you can become involved at local events and use your newly gained skills.

MSA Marshal and Official Training

This one day course will also be run on both days (you only need to attend one day) is aimed at existing marshals and officials. You do not need an MSA licence to attend but previous experience is essential. This full day course includes a British Red Cross certified First Aid Certificate which is valid for 3 years, together with useful MSA modules to update your knowledge.

Rescue Training

This is a two day course specifically aimed at those specialist marshals involved with motor sport Rescue or Medicine. Day one is mainly classroom based with some light practical work. Day two is an outdoor practical day with an opportunity to work alongside front line ambulance crews. This is an ideal environment in which to share ideas and work together with a common goal.
