As I understand they will do GTE if no new manufacturer joins DTM in 2019, bacause Audi and BMW don't want to compete in a DTM with only 2 manufacturer.
If even one of the japanese SuperGT related manufacturers (Toyota, Nissan, Honda/Accura) wants to join the DTM next year, then Class One could introduced/continued as planned.
