If I were in charge, I would only see three possible options for a French GP...

1) Upgrade Dijon to current F1 standards - leave the circuit layout unchanged!

2) Concoct some sort of street circuit around Paris.

OR

3) Head to Le Mans - forget the Bugatti circuit and work with the ACO on doing something like this:

It would retain much more character of the true Le Mans (incorporating the entire first section), and would really only require a racing road (a service road already exists for a large portion of it) from halfway up the first part of the Mulsanne, down to the chicane on the Bugatti circuit behind the pits...

The infrastructure is already there and, let's face it, Le Mans is the most famous circuit in France.

Though I prefer the Dijon option myself...
