I am really looking at manufacter support for the development of the vehicle, not sponsorship of a racing team.

No one will bother with the Kia, Renault or Lada, as they're either undercooked, or the customer support is questionable. Everything else is running at the front of the pack somewhere in the world. No doubt there are more Seats out there as they begat the category.
Does make me wonder how much of a success Skoda is and whether VW might at some point re-introduce Seat.
