Judging by Honda's public thanks to Hartley it would suggest that he was a significant factor in developing the cross cultural co-operation that alowed so much engineering progress during the year.
Having a driver who has the right background, nouse and sympatico can be as important as having a hotshoe in the position Torro Rosso was in developing next years RBR power unit programme.
Can you imagine the disaster Max could have visited on the co-operation if he had still been in an STR seat?
