because Dunlop tires are made compulsory by the regulation of many historic race series
by the FIA for some such as Lurani / Formula Junior
and by the organisers for other race series
was a good idea while it worked
not a good idea anymore
put it out to tender
let manufacturers such as Avon or Blockley do a better job...
