Malcolm Smith should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Scottish Classics joined races of the Northern Sports and Saloons at Croft on 17th and 18th August. Fastest qualifier was Andy Graham, TR7V8, followed by Alistair Baptie, MGBV8, and in third place Bruce Mitchell, Lotus Europa. In sunny conditions, Mitchell won the first race, with Mario Ferrari, Alfasud, second and third going to Michael Longstaffe in an MG Midget.
Baptie won race two, Mitchell and Ferrari taking second and third place respectively.

This event was the first for Stuart Robb, Mini Cooper, a welcome addition to the championship.

Hopefully, there will be an increase in support for future away rounds - six cars appeared at Croft – a small return for the efforts of organisers.

Next event is at Knockhill on 1st September.
