I was talking more about Farmer Palmers continual carping - he really had a chance to whime that year, even more so than when he had the bad Tyrrell in 88. God it used to annoy me when he would be in Autospurt every week during 83-84 whining about how he and only he was Britains next hope for a world Champ.... as if the world owed him a living - in fact that went back as far as when he was racing a Marcos and in F3. There were so many other good brits at that time - Dumfries, Pratt, Fish, Reid, Davies. If you add in the amount of careers he ruined with his amzingly bent and biased FPA series that man has done a lot of damage to our sport.

Johhny Cecotto was also a world champ in bike racing, I saw him on a prog about Sheene and Roberts on "Granada Men and Munters" the other night and he was the business on bikes.
