Yes but Class One belongs to DTM owners and they're not going to sell it to Eurosport or WTCC. Especially because DTM theoretically is still a German championship (ok, theoretically) while WTCR (or WTCC) is a world championship so the same rules in both DTM and WTCC would be a blow for the former. That surely won't happen. In a way I agree with what Jens Marquardt once said: there's almost no place for World Championship in touring cars. History says it all. Since the 1950s we've had continuously British championship, Australian championship, German championship and all of them are quite formidable, especially the last two ones, as BTCC is unfortunately amateurish nowadays. When it comes to World Championship there were on and off championships with a complete lack of stability.
Coming back to the topic, Class One in WTCC won't happen unless, for whatever reason, it slips from DTM's control. Also, if Eurosport and WTCC organisers couldn't attract interest from both manufacturers and fans in the last years of existence (for financial reasons too), they wouldn't attract interest with Class One rules.
