Probably had millions thrown at it and a lot of data from Skoda, the Fabia is the best selling R5 car and I would imagine VW want that business so will build a totally unbeatable R5 machine.
Ford, Citroen and Peugeot have al ltried and been fairly good, Hyundai too, but the Fabia tends to dominate, quite what Skoda think of this car I dont know!
