According to one Penske source, the boss is pondering joining Bernie Ecclestone as a business partner in a major revival of CART, as a Formula One satellite series. The most intriguing part of the Penske-Ecclestone story is the possibility of a new U.S. Formula One race in Las Vegas. That electric city that was Ecclestone's first choice for the race when it was revived in 2000, but Ecclestone became frustrated with city officials lagging on approving his plans for a layout just south of the Strip.
