Perhaps I can add to this, Mark Haynes (son of the founder of Haynes manuals) used to race a Porsche 911 for many years in one of the Porsche club series in a car fitted with hand controls. Mark is the manager of the Haynes Motor museum at Sparkford near Yeovil. It would definately be worth giving him a ring.
