You are right!!!!! It is not definitive that BMW use supertanker car as GTE car because of the competitor like Ford , Ferrari , Corvette and so on are very competitive and aggressive and GTE car competitor are different than GT3 car. BMW M6 GT3 won Spa 24 hour race while BMW M6 GTLM winless in 2016 season.
So BMW Motorsport can't make the final decision about the GTE car for today.
