As Liz said in this first go around at this topic, le mans in an invitational race, and I think it should stay that way, as it would violate the eltieness of the race for everyone to be forced to compete. Besides, it's not as if the field of cars is a problem. I don't know much about european gt series, but as far an american competitors go, most will do the opposite of what you suggest: they will run le mans but few other regular races(vette, cadillac, bentley). So I don't think it's a problem. Furthermoe, some teams cannot afford the jump across the pond, or it would be worthless for them to do so. For example, Dyson racing would not be all the competitive to justify the costs of going to le mans right now, but should they be forced to go cause they have run some alsm races? Le Mans isn't suffering form a lack of good fields, so I don't think there's any reason for it to be compulsory
