I think you might take it a different way.
The number of big corporates on the cars has definitely fallen away
Certainly the ones with the motivation and largesse to have massive suites and the like, which is where the cash actually comes from for AVESCO at an event.
A $2k seat in a box, less cost of servicing, will have more margin that a $150 general admission pass.
V8Supercar should be actively chasing sponsors and team partners for their events, for their series, and also leading into their teams.
It might also have the upshot of eliminating the tail end Charlie’s when a team is funded enough outright to pick their pilot rather than have a black American Express card thrust upon them
