this is like comparing skaife & brock to the likes of dick johnson & moffat, your talking about the person with the best equipment & the ability to punt it around, in their time they were the best combination, but when you consider mick & the fact that the rest of the honda riders used to copy his settings & still couldnt beat him it sais something about his ability. weather he is better than agostini its hard to tell, but in his time in the world scene & against other factory teams yes he was the greatest/best at the time & baring injury could of had 8 titles in a row. its like was criville the best rider when he won the championship & was roberts jr the best when he did the same, these riders were nowhere near the caliber of doohan yet they stillhave world titles to their credit.
weather you like him or not doohan was miles better than anyone around at his time & i think he could still cut it with the current crop of riders
