As to F3000, the engines would be there, DFVs with electronic injections (instead of the mechanical setup used in F1). So far they dont cost that much, because there very few takers.
The problem with these engines is that they are V8s and that they are detuned F1 units. They last longer buuuut, when rebuild time comes, they cost as much to rebuild as a proper F1 DFV. Certainly not an engine for a clubman to run.
