The difference being you have to earn your Ring permit to race in the 24hr by doing several VLN races and staying out of trouble. Doesn’t matter who you are-there are no exceptions and you can’t just jump into a GT3 car for those races towards the permit either which helps the driver give an understanding of what’ll happen when they get lapped by the front running pack and how to react properly. If you’ve ever seen an onboard from a slower car when that happens it can be pretty crazy.
In fairness to the B12 you can’t do the same thing given there’s only three events a year on the track.
