There is a company that has a scheme which covers the nurburgring but it only covers porsche and TVR at the moment.

I'm heading back in june or July and I expect I'll end up hiring a car most of the time, maybe do 1 or 2 laps in my own.
After last years trip I e-mailed the ombudsman to ask for their view on if uk insurers could exclude a german road but they never replied
