My sneaking suspicion is that this early announcement combined with SRO's current reputation for success and expansion, is a pretty heavy suggestion to GT ASIA that they should come to SRO for a merger deal before they get destroyed in open competition?
GT Asia are struggling big time for grids this year, don't think I've seen more than 13 cars per race.
And think of the teams in it, Absolute Bentley, Clearwater, Phoenix....
Those kind of high quality teams are surely going to jump ship if the SRO is even just slightly more appealing
