They could use the GS yes and it probably is a bit more aerodynamic not sure of thr coefficient drag of any of them off hand.
But as the GS is probably only around for a max of 2 more years it makes sense to use a model that will be around longer.
It also seems that the HS SUV will be replacing the GS so might even be sooner as the HS has been launched in China this week so may be here by 2019 at some point or might not given the cars are released in China and finally make there way here after 18 months at least.
