My kids all started early, and did small club events, with 10 lap races. That kept their attention. But I also had many trips where they paid the racing no attention, and played with LEGO or THEIR cars, or stuffed toys, or whatever.
I too emphasise the ear defender comments.
And you MUST accept they will play up, and spoil the fun, at some point. Because it WILL happen. Change places, go look at other things. Does Daytona have a fair, or playground? Let them have a run in there, and forget racing for an hour or so...
