Dick's XE used to spin hard... in qualifying in 1982 for instance, he used up to 8,000rpm, and the last Green Falcon (and given that the gun engine in it had come from the body of the gun car from 1983, one would assume that he was using big revs in the ill-fated HH lap too) was using up to 7,800 IIRC...
