I have heard slightly different.
TKR has been put into liquidation by IRD.
Story seems a but muddled, but goes something along the lines of David Johns changed the name of his company from "TKR Limited (Or whaterver it was)" to a different name, then the following day this new named company was put into recievership.
The TKR name and brand will go on to live another day.
