I disagree with this. Some of those AM entries(many)wouldn't be there without the AM drivers.

Who is going to fill those slots? There aren't enough pro entries to take them all up. Just as a point, there were no additional GTE-Pro entries. Three additional GTE-AM entries besides the Riley Viper, and two LMP2 entries made up the reserves list.

So. If all the GTE-AM cars were to become LMP2, we'd have had 36 P2 cars on track this year.
