Penske could replace Hornish with Ryan Briscoe, a Penske driver in the American Le Mans Series. He drove in the IRL for Ganassi in 2005, but finished 19th in the standings and was best known for a massive crash at Chicagoland in which he broke both clavicles. Also, replacing an American with an Australian may not be what the series needs.
