I think if Ovenden had been there with the Clio it would have been a different story - Ling was certainly quick but the Fiesta is still some way off the pace of the Clio. It'd be good to see Ling doing some of the British championship rounds next season to see where he sits in terms of pace compared with the other regulars.

Lydden has definitely improved - the converted shipping containers work well as food outlets and look much better than the tatty trailers they replaced (also the pigs in blankets hotdog was nice ). The toilets in the paddock are better than they used to be and were clean all day (helped but the low number of people there I suppose), the toilets on the hill are still an abomination though

I thought on the whole it was a good meeting - could do with more entries but it had a generally relaxed vibe to it and was a proper 'clubman' meeting. If the winter series can become established it offers a relatively cheap way into the sport.
