Too far from Sydney to commute by bus.There isn’t one running anyway.Also if you are travelling that distance for the race you would surely want to be there the whole meeting or at least Friday on.
I have never noticed glamping options at the 1000 unlike the 12 Hour.
Sorry to be negative but it is not really a public transport accessible event and there aren’t a big range of available accommodation options.Maybe rent a car and buy some basic camping gear or look at accommodation in nearby towns and drive although guessing that everything is both booked out and way overpriced.
