Good day at Lydden - O'Donovan won Supercar in the Fiesta (he was supposed to be using the Focus but broke it fuelling up before practice so switched cars - oh to have a 'spare' supercar ). Good racing in the supercars all day - Higgins, O'Donovan, Godfrey and Proctor all absolutely flying all day. Hill had a good run too which was good to see - how often does the Evo get to the end of the day having run trouble free all day? Interesting to hear that several of the drivers had tested Godfrey's Mirage on Saturday - and that O'Donovan preferred it to his Fiesta. More Mirages to come?

Supermodified and S1600 were lumped together and produced some good racing - Ovenden was in a class of his own though at the front. The races did seem to split with the top Supermodifieds being comfortably clear of the S1600s and the S1600s being clear of the less modified Supermodifieds. Quite a bit of contact between Thorne and Clark throughout the day - is that normal or were they just tripping over each other as they were so close on pace?

MINIs, Swifts and Juniors all had enough entries to generate some good racing too - but what was going on with the buggies? Guest entries to fill out a sparse grid is fine (and they were all in the mix) but the reliability was awful - normally they're pretty much bulletproof but they seemed to be grinding to a halt with alarming regularity this weekend.

Retros - love it 6R4 vs RS200? Yes please! The others put on a good show too - and it's easily the best smelling class
