Licensing and medical costs

Now I'm officially 'middle aged' I need a medical just to load the trailer . . . Having had a year off, have I missed something or am I a victim of south east tax?

Just been quoted £500 for a stressed ecg . . . .Int license renewal seems to be nearly double what it was a few years ago as well!

I don't 'need' and Int license for most things, but it has come in handy for a few events, I've been lucky enough to do . . and it's nice to know some races upping their requirements to at least necessitate a modicum of apparent competence before smashing stuff up.

Any suggestions welcome. If I have to bite the bullet so be it, I'm not quite ready for Sunday morning car shows, matching tweed blanket and flask!
