Yes maybe Hass will be just as successfull, but would you honestly put money down saying that Hass's team would quickly (or ever) have the BEST setups for every IRL track? I would much sooner put my money on Ganassi or Penske, but look at them now. Clearly Ganassi was best off last year, but with all the changes (eg. engine), they aren't this year.
CART has mandated no changes, so setups carry over year to year thus gaurenting NH's continued strength in that series.
I can see a case being made for every CART to IRL defection up to this point. I might not agree with them all, but atleast there's some reasons. What's Hass' reason? Being 77, overweight and a lifelong smoker (until now) does anyone think he's got a lot of years left? What's $15M at this stage of his life?
