tbr1 should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
You can expect the new GP2 car to be 4-5 seconds faster than this years current Lolas. The current Lolas have more than 3 years of development on them compared to a few months for the GP2 car and all ready it is 3 seconds faster. If you want to compare cars you must compare in same conditions. Second day fist sessions are always the fastest with more rubber and cooler ambient temperatures. If the GP2 car didnt have problems on the second morning you can expect at least sub 1:28s around Barcelona.

Having said that this years F3000 isnt faster than the 99 model. The Avon tires are 1 lap wonders in the current spec. The first flying lap is all you get around barcelona. They did this just to show it is faster than the older model. But average race time it isnt any faster as the older avons are more consistant.
