My first 'car' race?
Around 1962 watching a pre high school John Bowe win his first(?) race, steering a 'Ferrari' look alike in a billy cart race on Best St hill in Devonport Tas.
Been following JB's career ever since...
My first real motor race was when, as a kid, I scrounged a ride with an uncle to Longford in 1968 to watch Chris Amon set the lap record in the magnificent Ferrari P4.
And the bug bit. Hard.
