Just one week after the opening rounds for SRO America's Blancpain GT World Challenge America and GT4 America Sprint X, the GT4 America Sprint teams will open the season on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida.
Nineteen entries across eight manufacturers are set to take the green at St. Pete, featuring a number of top tier teams and drivers.
Longtime competitors
Blackdog Speed Shop return, but with a pair of Mclarens replacing their traditional Camaros. Michael Cooper and Tony Gaples will drive.
The legendary
Flying Lizard Motorsports will run their Porsche for Michael Dinan in the Sprint series in addition to their Sprint-X program.
Team Panoz Racing is back with a full season sprint entry for Ian James and a one-off for Preston Calvert.
Spencer Pumpelly and
TRG reunite for a Sprint Porsche effort.
Park Place and
BGB will each bring a Porsche for Alan Brynjolfsson and Thomas Collingwood, respectively.
Nicolai Elghanayan is back with his
Marco Polo Motorsports KTM X-Bow.
PF Racing brings two Mustangs for James Pesek and Jade Buford, while
Ian Lacy Racing brings two for Drew Staveley and Frank Gannett.
Two more Mclarens will see the green, one for Jarrett Andretti from
Andretti Autosport and one for Mark Klenin from
KPR.
Gar Robinson and Shane Lewis will again be driving
Robinson Racing's Chevy Camaro GT4.Rs.
Audi is represented by
GMG Racing, with Jason Bell behind the wheel.
Marco Radisic and
Precision Driving will be running a full sprint season with their BMW.
