I think perhaps given we now know this story is a hoax (and I must admit I was also struggling to identify any element of satire or entertainment) it would be best just to close the thread and move on.
As repercussions develop I don't doubt that Stewart's intentions will become a valid point of discussion in another thread. Just remember to treat speculation carefully until the facts are established.
