I've said this before but it bears repeating: Stoneman had a free drive for the last 2 years, in FR3.5 and Indy Lights. That's more opportunities than most get in single seaters, especially at his age. What about the 3 guys that finished ahead of him that don't have a ride yet? (Jones is signed for the full 2017 season)
Someone with his talent should not be spending the penultimate race crashing into Zachary Claman DeMelo and finishing 13th. Chopping in the braking zone at Indy and Road America was also self-defeating.

The problem is many European-based drivers are afraid of ovals. Or tracks without eleventy billion yards of run-off.
Jamin is one of the exceptions, his drive at NOLA last year in the rainstorm was great (those would be red flag conditions in European junior series).
That said, USF2000 is seeing unprecedented growth with the new chassis (and old cars will still be allowed to run for a seperate points championship).
