Yep i'm of similar mind to you on this.
Perhaps Alonso will end up being player-manager!
There's stories elsewhere about Renault doing a deal with Lotus (Geely) for joint development of technology, cars and, electric stuff.
Perhaps the F1 team will end up being a Lotus-Alpine?
