Eligible cars include GT cars from mono-brand series, such as Ferrari 488 Challenge, Lamborghini Huracán SuperTrofeo and Porsche 911 Carrera Cup, and cars within a 5/6 seconds per lap performance gap with respect to GT3 cars, such as McLaren 570S, Mercedes AMG R, Audi R8 LMS, BMW M4, etc.
A BoP to balance their performance is currently being worked out, with track sessions already having taken place at the Hungaroring and Monza and one more scheduled at Barcelona."

The work aimed at drafting a Balance of Performance for the cars that will take part to the GT Open Cup, the new series promoted by GT Sport which will kick-off in 2019, continued at Monza with a track test on Friday.
This is the second track test carried out, after the one at the Hungaroring last July and the third scheduled at Barcelona in October.
Cars from five different brands took part to the test, followed by the teams quoted in brackets: Ferrari 488 Challenge (AF Corse), Porsche 911 Carrera Cup (Ombra Racing), Mercedes AMG R (SPS Automotive Performance); McLaren 570S (Garage59) and Lamborghini Huracán SuperTrofeo (VSR)."

"While interest for the new pro-am and am series launched by GT Sport for cars one step below GT3 is growing steadily among teams across Europe, an important Balance of Performance track session took place this week at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
Five different car models were involved: the Lamborghini Huracan SuperTrofeo (by Vincenzo Sospiri Racing, with Giovanni Venturini at the wheel), the Mercedes AMG R (SPV Racing, with Thomas Jäger as driver), the McLaren 570S (a factory car entrusted to Euan Hankey), the Audi R8 LMS (by Baporo, with Manel Cerqueda and Dani D*az-Varela) and the Porsche 911 Carrera Supercup (by Alméras, driven by Ayhancan Güven and Hugo Chevalier).
Held in perfect weather and track conditions, the test provided valuable data towards the finalization of the BoP to the team of Luis Isasi, the Technical Delegate of GT Sport. The outcome of the test was very positive, as the lap times of the different cars, even in “non-balanced” configuration, remained in the sought bracket of 5 tenths of a second."
