About the RAI-RIC situation, I think most of it is the fact that official WDC table is updated with Hungary, and our WMC table was the old one without Hungary. Hungary was a great advantage of Kimi over the Australian. If we compare RAI vs RIC after Germany and after Hungary, the two drivers' positions are not so different. In a direct comparisons, Raikkonen beats Ricciardo 7-5 (after Hungary), and it more or less is reflected in both WDC and WMC.

In fact, I was going to post the updated table with the Hungary GP. Thus, so be it!

Even more advantage for Sainz! As chillibowl says, the first races were "mediocre" for Carlos Jr, but since then he has beaten Kimi, his closest competitor, 9 consecutive times! He dominates completely all the others, beating Kimi 9-3 and Norris 8-3.

With 9 races to go, Sainz has now an almost three races advantage in points. That is a lot.

Currently the situation has like 4 tiers. Tier 0 is just Sainz, Tier 1 are the principal drivers of other teams (+Norris), Tier 2 are the secondary drivers in those teams and finally Tier 3 are... a sort of unfortunate drivers who, for whatever reasons, don't get the due results. (let's note I am not even talking about Williams... but perhaps we will be able to do it soon... hopefully).

Teams are accordingly divided in tiers. Most of teams are in the middle tier, having one driver in the contending pack (Alfa,Renault,Toro Rosso, and "The Pink One" ) and the other in the secondary pack (well, Giovinazzi is not even in that pack). There is one super team (McLaren) with two drivers in the lead part of the table. And there is a trailing team (Haas) without any driver in the contending pack and one driver behind the secondary pack.

About teams classification in points (and showing wins and 2nds too), let's see the next table.

McLaren has got half of wins so far and enjoy, like Sainz, an almost three races of gap against Renault.
