Great shame for the Escorts, pretty frightening to watch from the top of paddock watching them all lock up behind the errant black car. Could have been a lot worse for everyone involved.
Some great racing from the FFords, 2000's, road sports and the touring cars in beautiful autumn sunshine at Brands. Bob Bullen had a good result in his Anglia seeing off a couple of Cortinas to get on the podium in their first race and Andrew Park made a terrific start from 6th on the grid in the FF2000's, gaining 3 places by Druids and fighting with Nelson Rowe for the lead and eventual win. Will Leverett in the beautiful Elan was pretty impressive to get that win from the back of the grid in their 2nd race.
In never fails to amaze me that these meetings are so under supported by spectators given the quality fields and good, fair racing, many thanks to the HSCC and all involved for some superb track action. I was torn between the HSCC at Brands and the CSCC meeting at Thruxton but my season ticket at BH made the decision for me.
