I'm very aware of that, although I think you shouldn't even be considering applying for accreditation unless you consider your work good enough. Generally speaking accreditation is for people whose work is going to be published, which implies a level of quality.

Maybe I'll re-phrase the question. If you consider yourself good enough to warrant accreditation, why do you feel being compared as a pro is unfair?
