He hasn't got a contract for a limited number of races per season, let alone a season long contract. This will be a one off, so I'm not sure how a regular salary would work. As for expenses, those would be covered through sponsorship. Regarding prize money, drivers get a share of the purse, depending on where they finish in the race and there are also other factors that determine the amount of money.
