The GT Masters has certainly grown over the years, but it still needs a lot to grow into the same level as DTM. The DTM, even with its falling TV ratings and crowd attendance numbers still gets higher crowds and ratings than the GT Masters. But one shouldn't underestimate the ADAC. They have lots of money and seem to be willing to push the GT Masters further into the public. Although the ADAC is also cooperating with the DTM, it can't do harm to have a finger into another pie
