To a Mustang?

The Mustang's roofline is significantly lower than a Mondeo, some 120mm, which would be a significant advantage,

Both cars have quite gentle C-pillar angles which should maintain attached flow from the roof down to the bootlid (i.e. and therefore a smaller wake behind the car and thus less drag, as seen below) and therefore be suitably slippery in a straight line... Given that, the lower frontal area of the Mustang (due to lower roofline) should be in the Mustang's favour.



PS. If you're interested, the VW Golf (while functional) is an example of bad aero as the upright C-pillar causes a huge wake and therefore lots of drag, whereas the Honda Insight Toyota Prius is an example of good aero as the shallow c-pillar angle and Kammback design minimises drag.
