Not a bad idea. Although a bad lap on a set of 'qualifiers' could see even less action on the track during qualifying than we have now. What would be the point in going out on another set of tyres if you've already wasted your qualifiers? And you'll know that if a driver has already squandered his best tyre, then that's that!
