One of the big advantages of the Mclaren GT3 is that the chassis stands up very well to accident damage. Often we see the likes of Audi, Lambo, Porsche all needed new chassis after accidents but i remember reading from Mclaren that with the 650s GT3 they never needed to change a chassis because the carbon tub was very strong.

That's an interesting point about the strength. A couple of years back a fairly decent owner of specialist cars apparently told a good friend of mine that compared to a Ferrari, the Mclaren 12c was like paper mache. He could not believe the difference in chassis and bodywork tolerance.
