German driver for a German team. He's a solid performer. Dragged what seems to be a rather mediocre Haas into the points this season. Generally out performed his teammate. I would say that it is an upgrade on
at least one of the two current Sauber drivers.
But it is not a signing that particularly gets the pulse racing. If they can get Sainz alongside him, then that is a good, solid line-up. But I would expect that Sainz would have more appealing options elsewhere?
