Well, I asked the same question on another forum, and there the answer was that Götz has a factory contract while Buhk doesn't.
But then, neither do we know if these contracts - if there are any - are done year by year or if they have a longer duration, so it might be a completely moot point anyway.
Another potential new manufacturer for them might be Nissan, as Nissan Deutschland are actively looking for teams to represent them in ADAC GT and VLN next year and have put together a pretty nice support package for interested teams. I guess that would also get them into a "more than a customer"-team position.
The next question is what Merc will do? Will they sit idly or will they be looking for a new spearhead team?
