If LMDH does compete and can outrace Hypercar, will this lead to more manufacturers committing to LMDH instead of Hypercar - would ACO be ok with this?
And vice versa for Hypercars going to race in IMSA
Wonder if all of this will drive a lot of BOP controversies

In keeping with the thread theme, I am
positive that the ACO and IMSA have a handle on the BOP. They have been able to make the LMP1 Alpine, the Glickenhaus, and the Toyota pretty well balanced this season, and the Porsche will be joining the fray at the end of the season for the ACO to evaluate the comparison.
As far as costs go, the Porsche LMDH is actually more expensive to buy than the Glickenhaus hypercar, so I'm not sure the manufacturers in Hypercar can expect an upperhand for spending more money. That is how this combined class has been pitched from the beginning. It isn't a surprise to Toyota, Peugeot, Ferrari, to be competing with cars made on the lmdh platform.
